80 Hour Collapse Rescue

10 Days

About This Project

Students attending this course will be provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform rescue at various structural collapse scenes. Students will spend two days each learning how to construct emergency shoring, lifting and moving techniques, and breaching and breaking techniques in a disaster environment. The course is 80 hours in length.

We make every effort to ensure consistent terminology and training within the discipline of urban search and rescue (US&R), so this course mirrors the DHS/FEMA National US&R Response System curriculum.
